Who doesn’t love a moist healthy warm banana bread slice?? I feel like recently everyone started making banana bread and experimenting with it during all the free time they got to stay home with their loved ones.
I have been making banana bread for years and yet felt like it wasn’t healthy enough to eat whenever I want. Specially now that I’m pregnant I wanted to make sure my favorite banana bread is the healthiest and that I feel no guilty eating as much as I want.
After few trial and errors I came up with the best banana bread recipe that cannot be more healthier. Seriously!
Let’s see how to make it and I’m sure your loved ones will love you even more when they find out this bread use no refined sugar at all!
Get your oven preheated to 350 Celsius
Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in one large bowl. I would recommend sifting your flour before using it in this recipe.
Mash your bananas slightly and add in eggs, milk, oil, vanilla and give it a good mix. But, dont over mix it or you will end up with a very dense banana bread. No one wants that!
Cut your dates and raisins in to pieces (your preference) and coat them with one spoon of your dry mix and set aside.
Pour the wet batter into dry and mix just to ensure the batter is well incorporated. Now add the dates and raisins you coated with flour along with the chia seeds.
Pour batter in to a greased pan and bake in preheated oven (350 C) for one hour. At 45 minute mark, enter a tooth pick and if the tooth pick comes back dry, your banana bread is ready! Allow the bread to cool on a wire rack before your cut in to it.
A little tip! lather on some butter and honey to take this banana bread to a whole new another level!
1/3 cups of olive oil
3 over ripped bananas
1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour or whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1 tbsp of chia seeds
2 tbsp of raisins of your choice
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/4 cups of milk of your choice
